GEOLOGY OF THE CLACKAMAS WATERSHED

The Clackamas Watershed headwaters are in the volcanically active Cascade Range, as well as the adjacent Sandy Watershed. Along the  Clackamas River is an excellent place to see exposures of the Columbia River Basalt bedrock.
